Historical Milestones
1960 - 1970

1960 The genesis of the modern firm name "Bishop & McKenzie" was the increasingly lengthy name of the firm. As lawyers joined the firm, their names were added to the firm name, which became rather unwieldy. It was decided in 1960 that the name would permanently be "Bishop & McKenzie".

1963 Bishop & McKenzie relocated to the new Bank of Montreal Building.

1969 Michael Funduk, who had articled and practiced with Bishop & McKenzie, was appointed the Clerk of the Court of Queen's Bench, and later a Master of the Court of Queen's Bench.

1972 The firm had outgrown the Bank of Montreal Building and took premises for about 20 lawyers in the new Royal Trust Tower in Edmonton Centre.
